When a care provider uses Kiwi, the provider is the controller of the care records it keeps in Kiwi and we are its processor. Our data processing agreement sets out how we handle those records. It forms part of our terms of service, and you accept it when you tick the box to accept the terms at sign-up. Email privacy@kiwiapp.co for the full agreement.
Care records in Kiwi are stored only in the United Kingdom, on servers in London, with encrypted daily backups. Kiwi is run by ASIZA, which is based in the United Arab Emirates. Our named staff access Kiwi remotely from the UAE to develop, support and look after it, over encrypted connections, using individual keys and two-factor sign-in to our hosting account, and all administrative access is logged. UK data protection law treats this remote access as an international transfer, so it is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement issued by the Information Commissioner, which forms part of our contract with you, together with a transfer risk assessment.
Email privacy@kiwiapp.co and we will send them.
