Nursing homes

Nursing home software
with the clinical detail built in.

Full eMAR with controlled drugs and witnesses, wound and pressure area care, MUST and Waterlow scored automatically, clinical handover and the evidence an inspector asks for, in one login at one price.

The problem

Nursing homes carry clinical risk that residential homes do not.

Pressure areas, wounds, catheters, PEG feeds, insulin, controlled drugs, deteriorating residents and a registered nurse accountable for all of it. The software has to hold that detail or the nurse keeps a parallel paper record, which is how things get missed.

Most systems give you a care plan and a daily log and expect you to write the clinical picture into free text. It is not good enough for a nurse and it is not good enough for an inspector.

Kiwi scores the tools you already use, keeps the controlled drug trail watertight, and shows deterioration as a trend rather than as a story buried in notes.

Built for this

What this sector actually needs.

eMAR with controlled drugs

A witness on every controlled dose and every stock movement, with counts, discrepancies and a rule-driven workflow.

MUST and Waterlow, scored for you

Enter the measurements, Kiwi calculates and rates the score and charts the trend over time.

Wound and pressure care

Body map, grade, measurements, photographs and dressing changes on one timeline.

Deterioration made visible

Weight, BMI, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, oxygen, glucose, pain and continence trended on the profile.

Clinical handover

Low, important and critical flags, with important and critical held for a manager or nurse to review.

PRN with a reason and a review

Protocols per person, running counts and a prompt to record whether it worked.

Falls and post-fall

Post-fall checks, neurological observations where needed, and the review that stops it happening again.

DoLS and capacity

Authorisations, conditions and expiry dates tracked, with reminders.

Evidence in one tap

A full care record PDF, or an export pack mapped to the quality statements.

Why nurses stop trusting care software

Because it makes them type the same thing twice. If the observation goes in one place, the MUST score in another and the care plan update in a third, a busy nurse will do the one that is checked and skip the rest. Kiwi calculates from what is already entered, so the clinical picture builds itself.

The medication trail that survives an inspection

The questions are always the same. Who gave it, who witnessed it, what was the stock before and after, and what happened when a dose was refused. Kiwi answers all four as a matter of course, and a visual MAR chart shows a month at a glance.

Nursing homes that also support younger adults with a learning disability get both sides of the record in one place, which is unusual and is the reason a lot of mixed providers move to Kiwi.

Questions

What managers ask.

Questions

Things managers ask.

Does Kiwi include a full eMAR for a nursing home?

Yes, including controlled drugs with a witness on every dose and stock movement, stock counts and discrepancies, PRN protocols with running counts, and a visual MAR chart over 7, 14 or 28 days.

Does it calculate MUST and Waterlow scores?

Yes. You enter the measurements and Kiwi calculates and rates the score, then charts it so deterioration is visible rather than buried.

How is wound care recorded?

On a body map, with grade, measurements, photographs and every dressing change on one timeline, so the healing trajectory is obvious.

Can we prove who signed what during an inspection?

Yes. Hover any square on the MAR chart to see who signed and when, and export the full signature record as a PDF in one tap.

Is there a limit on residents or staff?

No. The price is per home, whatever the number of beds, staff, residents or devices.

What does nursing home software cost with Kiwi?

£279.95 per home per month plus a one-off £169.95 setup, rolling monthly with no contract, and 15% off from three homes, 20% from five and 30% from ten.
